Charities I'm Supporting During the Pandemic

Something I've always been taught is to always give back. I've been so fortunate in my life and I love giving back whenever and wherever possible. During a time like this, it's even more important to help where you can, especially when charities everywhere are hurting. I personally like to donate to places that are either local, in line with my beliefs and passions, or something that strikes me as a fantastic cause. Below is a roundup of a few charities I've been donating to, that I really believe in and hope to help in any way possible right now.

ZANNI: Dresses For Whatever

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had as fun a weekend as I did. Thanks to the humidity, I pretty much lived in my favorite light summer dresses all weekend (my new ZANNI dress was a life saver on Friday, but I'm jumping ahead of  myself). I'll try not to complain too much, considering how much I complained about the cold winter.

As I've mentioned in previous posts, I'm big on supporting brands made in the United States like Industry Standard and MDS Stripes (to name a few!). Immediately added to the top of my favorites list is ZANNI, a brand started by a college friend. Made in LA from the softest (and very breathable) technical Italian fabrics, I can personally vouch these dresses will seamlessly take you from day to night and (if I had a few more drinks) I probably would have slept in mine, they are that comfortable. As an added bonus, these wardrobe staples are the perfect kind of low maintenance chic, where you just need to wash in cold water and hang to dry - they won't lose their shape!

I bought the Maximum Leg Dress and have my eye on the Out of Office Dress for my next purchase!

New NY Store: The White Company

One morning while walking down 5th I noticed a new store opening that put an extra spring in my step - British based store The White Company. I first discovered them years ago on a trip to London, so I was over the moon excited to learn they were opening stateside. I love love love their simple and easy aesthetic, it's perfect for both city and country living. While I'm trying not to buy anything this year as I'm moving in the fall, I just may need to pick up a few pillows and the carafe and stacking tumblers (have I ever mentioned my obsession with them?).  Below are a few of my favorite inspiration images from the website:

Happy St. Patrick's Day + A Small Update

This Monday morning I don't have any new and exciting finds or any inspiration posts to share. OK that's a lie, I always have inspiration to share, but there is only so many inspiration posts a girl can share in one month!

As mentioned in previous posts, I've been working on a fun project and I'm going to start sharing some updates with you all! I'm excited to announce my new instagram account is up and running (hence the picture) - be follow along for all the updates! It's the first hint I'll give you guys.

Shopping List: Boden

After quickly discovering my love of the entire Liberty of London store (not just fabrics) it quickly became my go-to shop. One of my favorite sections is the beauty section - it's basically every girls dream come true because they have everything there you might want and/or need. It was there that I was introduced to H. Gillerman Organics and have since then become a convert.

I personally use the Jaw Clenching Remedy, for my TMJ and love it. I.m also obsessed with her website, because there are awesome tips and articles on an array of health related topics.

It's Merry Month!

While December is not one of my favorite months, I do enjoy a good New York City winter. Mainly because of the Bergdorf window displays, ice skating in Central Park, and walks fueled with hot cocoa!

Outfit Inspiration: All Year Round

I used to work in fashion, and recently I've been thinking it's time to get back into it. For awhile I felt I hit a wardrobe road bock, and something about this year has me more inspired than ever to update and play around with my style.

Maybe I was inspired by all the tartan and tweed I saw in the UK...

Or these dreamy (yet wearable) ballerina inspired outfits?

But then again, I've always been a Barbie girl, so this outfit is just screaming my name!

However, helloooooo leopard skirt, you need to be in my closet, like now. 

I'm all over the map (which is never attractive) and it's fall so I guess I'll stick to my uniform of black pants + fun flats or sneakers and refine my style at a later date. 

Etsy Love: Clothing Shops

I'm an Etsy Addict, just ask my roommate CCS. I'm a huge fan of supporting the smaller stores and shops, which Etsy makes super easy to do.

Alexandra King has some pretty amazing clothes. I recently ordered from her recently and am in love with my floral skirt! Now I have my eye on this dress for Christmas...

I love love love girly underwear and ohhhlulu has some really fun stuff! I haven't tried any of her stuff yet, but it looks pretty, which is always a plus in my book. I love the colors of this underwear set, but then again I love all the colors in her collection.

How much fun are these Mexican embroidered dresses by Elizabeth Palmer? I think they would be perfect for Summer or Palm Beach. Can you tell I miss Summer already?

Top 3 Beauty Buys for an (Almost) Effortless Morning

1. James Brown Haircare - I mean, who doesn't want Kate Moss style hair? This gives me hope I'll get there eventually, especially because it's her hair stylist's brand.

2. Binchotan Facial Puff - I'm going to be obsessed with anything that cuts my already short morning routine in half, so yes, I'm going to use a recommend this. ''

3. Soap and Glory Night in Shining Armour - You need a strong foundation and this basically does almost all the work over night so all I need to do is use the facial puff.

Inspiration: Bold Stripes

Maybe it's because I'm religiously using my Whitney English organizer more, but I find myself drawn to bold stripes as of late.

These striped chairs are awesome and a great statement for any room. 

The inside of this boat is to die for. 

I think these striped balloons are basically screaming for a fun beetle juice themed Halloween party. 

These striped pillows are so pretty and make me want to curl up and read a book in the sun.
