Five Books I'm Pre-Ordering

I love pre-ordering books - it helps the authors and ensures I get the book I want in a timely manner. As an avid reader it shouldn't come as a surprise that I track favorite authors and preorder a book the second I know it's coming out. Books are so important to me that I have a line item in my budget for them! From self-help, to decorating to fiction novels I love them all and below I've rounded up five books that I'm particularly eager to order.

Building a Non-Anxious Life by John Delony

How Not to Be an Antique Dealer by Drew Pritchard (out next week!)

Skinnytaste Simple by Gina Homolka

Simply the Best by Susan Elizabeth Phillips (so new that it doesn't have a cover yet!)

The Art of Home by Shea McGee

Spring Accessories Wish List

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I'm watching my spending. With all of the uncertainty in the world (and personal goals) I'm pulling back almost all of my spending, but I can't help but make a wish list of accessories I would buy if it was in the cards. There is something about spring that has me craving new wardrobe pieces to freshen up my wardrobe. Below are a few pieces I would treat myself to if I wasn't being so strict with my budget.

YSL Sunglasses

Pamela Munson Lady Bag

Rebecca de Ravenel Earrings

Alexandre Birman Shoes

November Wishlist

Every year I complain about having to write a Christmas list, but my family demands it every year. I'm not complaining, but I never really know what I want and frankly I feel a little old to be asking for things. This week I'm rounding up what I want to buy on each of the dedicated shopping days! I'm always hesitant to write about post-holiday shopping, especially because I Christmas shop throughout the year, but I think it's worth sharing my ideas for each day.

Black Friday: I hate black Friday. I feel like this should be a day dedicated to families and resting, not shopping. That being said, I do love that Barnes and Noble sells many signed books as their deal and it's just so great. I never know what books they will have on offer, but I would LOVE to get a signed copy of Ina Garten's newest book

Small Business Saturday: I don't know which small businesses will be participating this year, but I have a long long list of ones I would like to support. I personally would love to get something from Farmhouse Pottery or another chic made in America company.

Cyber Monday: I'm so excited Molly Moorkamp is having a 30% off sale - you can bet I will be participating! I have shared my love for her clothes too many times to count. Regardless, I may just need to pick something up for my Mom or sister.

Giving Tuesday: There are so many wonderful charities that I can't pick just one to highlight. I strongly encourage you to pick a charity and donate on Giving Tuesday, as a number of charities get a match! If you're looking for inspiration, I did a philanthropy spotlight with many wonderful charities, many of which I've been involved with personally, at the beginning of Covid and I encourage you to read about it here.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving,

September Shopping List

I know I'm late to the game, but I'm in full "back to school" shopping mode. I have picked up a few wardrobe updates specific to special events and work, but I'm looking towards things to get me through fall and the holidays. I'm thinking comfortable luxury but still practical. When we were in quarantine and I was on a shopping freeze I realized how much I craved cozy knits and books and as I enter into a new phase of saving I want to treat myself to a few things I know I will use and appreciate every day. Below is a roundup of treats I've love to pick up this month!

Naadam Cashmere Set

Westman Atelier Makeup

Nili Lotan Cami Gown

The Pilates Body by Brooke Siler

Diptyque Candles

Treating myself to maybe a bit too much this month,

July Wishlist

I don't know what is happening this summer, but every time I try to reach a goal something goes awry. From constant hosting to all of these amazing clothing and accessories I'm seeing it seems like temptation is around every corner. I am doing my very best to resist everything, especially with the economy and geopolitical uncertainty, but sometimes something comes up that you can't resist. Below are my top three things I'm eyeing and talking myself out of buying constantly.

Molly Moorkamp Azalea Gown

Belgrave Crescent Red Notebook

Tammy Fender Moisturizer

The list could go one but I'm holding myself back!

Cozy Weekend Wish List

Believe it or not we just had a grey, rainy weekend and it had me craving all of the cozy and comfortable clothes I left in NY. Rainy days are a bit of a novelty these days and something I truly enjoy, so I was really taking full advantage of the excuse to just stay inside. Compounding my craving for all things cozy is my added anxiety of what the future looks like as we leave the pandemic behind, we face war and other financial challenges.  Anyone else feeling the same way? Below is a roundup of what is on my cozy wish list.

Alice Walk Crewneck Sweatshirt

A good romance novel (see this list for inspiration or check out part one and part two of my 10 Books to Order, Preorder, Read and Re-Read Series!)

Harney and Sons Paris Tea

White Company Cashmere Socks

Eberjey Softest Sweats

I'm praying there is a Memorial Day sale or two in my future,

Wishlist for Getting Back to Me

After two years of hibernating, getting back to feeling myself has been at the top of my mind. I truly did enjoy slowing down, learning what was important to me, and focusing on family time but I'm ready to get back to me. What does that mean? For me it means reordering stationary, finding some fun new outfits, getting my diet reigned in but also keeping in mind the lessons I learned over the past few years and how it shaped who I am today. Below are a few things that I have on my wish list as I start this new chapter.

If the past two years taught me anything, it was how important it is to take care of your health. Not only is The Beauty Chef Gut Guide book beautiful, but it's also filled with gut healthy and low-fodmap recipes, which are perfect for me!

This pink Posse Toile Maxi Dress has my name written all over it. I miss some of my old statement outfits, but I'm looking forward to building up a new roster of them that feel more Palm Beach!

Even though I live in Florida full time doesn't mean I haven't stopped loving my cozy throw blankets. I'm loving these Polar Fleece ones from LL Bean and may or may not be ordering the cream and tan colors for a future home.

The Pamela Munson Lady Bag has my name written all over it and would fit in with my PB wardrobe perfectly. I may need to add this to my birthday wish list...

How fabulous is this Pink Empress Stationary? I love writing letters and sending out letters on this beautiful stationary would be just perfect. Letter writing is one of those things on my 101 in 1001 list that has fallen through the crack but these just may inspire me to get back on track.

Anyone else ready to go do some shopping?

Heading to NY Wishlist

Heading back to NY was at the top of my mind for days before I flew up North for Easter. I had anxiety about flying, the possibility of being homesick, and having to start the process of going through all of the boxes from my apartment. As the time to pack approached I realized everything I needed was already in NY, but I still needed a plane outfit, some entertainment, and maybe an accessory or two to get me through the long weekend. Below are a few things I wish I had on hand and just may need to purchase for those last minute quick trips up North.

Black Molly Moorkamp Daphne Sweater

Ann Mashburn Khaki Twill Pants

Lycette Needlepoint Canvas

Alice Walk Cashmere Wrap

Own Your Past, Change Your Future by Dr. John Delony

Already ready for my next trip!

Casual At Home Wishlist

Recently I feel myself seeking out everyday comfort for weekends at home. I'm still sussing out my Florida style and I can't help but love the colorful, casual and very put together look everyone seems to have. That being said, when I'm at home I want comfort and ease but still able to run and errand or two without shame. I'm still in Florida winter mode and a solution I'm feeling is a chic cashmere set, light makeup and just calling it a day. Below are a few of my picks for my casual at home look.

Palm Beach Wishlist

I finished 2021 with what felt like a wild shopping spree to celebrate completing Baby Step 3  when in reality it was just a little pick me up after a sad Christmas. I've been really good about sticking to my budget but as I settle into life in Palm Beach I'm realizing my NY wardrobe is not going to cut it down here. Don't worry, I'm not donating my fab furs, chic leather pants, and turtle necks just yet but they are staying where they belong - in NY! I'm slowing adding a few colorful looks into the neutral mix I gravitate towards. Below are a few things I have my eye on for my current Palm Beach status.

Green Fringe Caftan Dress

Aquazzura Bow Slingbacks

Julia Amory Dress

GAS Bijoux Hoops

Posse Mini Dress

Happy Almost Friday!

Staycation Shopping List

This year we have an extended Labor Day weekend and I'm so grateful for it. As I prepare for the busy fall ahead I realize that what I need is not a vacation, but a staycation. I initially was hoping to make it out to Arizona to visit family or down to Palm Beach for a second trip, but ultimately felt staying local was the right thing to do for myself. Even though I just got back from Palm Beach, I'm exhausted and really excited to enjoy a few extra days off at home. I'm already planning treating myself to a few things that will make my staycation feel more luxurious (and cozy for the cooler months that are around the corner). While I wish I could do a staycation on a bigger scale, like at a hotel, I'm just going to savor the time off and make the extra effort to treat myself for the first time in awhile. Below are a few things on my staycation wish list that you might also take some inspiration from.

Jenni Kayne Throw Blanket + Pillow
(Casual luxe in the best neutrals!)

(Trooper ate my first pair and I am in dire need of replacing these!)

(A forever favorite that will last all winter)

(Why not treat yourself to this healthy and delicious meal delivery service so you don't have to cook!?)

(Pardon me while I jump on any excuse to order flowers from my favorite florist)

Ready for the long weekend,
