Architecture: The American Standard Buliding

CDL and I were walking last week and discussed how we don't know the NYC architecture as well as we should. I'm making it my mission to look up buildings of note so I can now learn all the fun facts about my city. First up on the list? The American Standard Building. Located in Bryant Park, The American Standard Building, originally called the American Radiator Building, was built in 1924 for the American Radiator Co. The black brick symbolizes coal and the gold details symbolize fire!
