Pretty Pins for Pausing

I'm struggling because I need to take a pause and stay off my feet for the week due to a minor foot injury. I'm frustrated because I finally nailed down a pilates and yoga routine that works for me but I definitely need straight cardio to take my weight loss to the next level! I'm hoping that staying off my feet this week will do the trick. I've been in go go go mode in all aspects of my life  and this is a good reminder that pausing is good for you and required for healing. Below are a few pins inspiring me as I take a pause from workouts and focus on healing.

This week will be a restorative one,

Cooking up a bunch of freezer meals! I'm very eager to play catch-up on my mortgage fund and losing weight so having some go-to healthy freezer meals will make all the difference for both goals.

Searching for fabulous accessories for fall! I talked a bit about it in a post this week, but I'm officially on the hunt for fun costume jewelry. Lucky for me I live in the perfect place to find it.

Booking my next haircut! I am in dire need of a haircut and this may just be the weekend I do it. I would love to wait until I go to NY next, but it's getting just a tad bit too long for my liking.

Planning my Summer 2023 trips already! It feels radically too soon to plan out my trips for the summer but there are wedding and school drop offs to plan around.

Celebrating the weekend! I'm honestly so ready for the weekend it isn't even funny. After a long week I'm ready to treat myself like a queen. LOL!

TGIF here I come!

Thursday Fall Goal Check-In

I've been trending with a strong start to my goals and lose momentum quickly. Unfortunately I didn't check anything off my 101 in 1001 list this week. I had a setback in my mortgage fund goal but I'm hopeful that I can make a bit of progress soon! On the plus side I started incorporating more workouts into my week and hopefully I will start to see even more results soon. I've plateaued a bit but I'm optimistic that my luck in this department will turn around quickly.

Next week there will be progress - I promise!

Chic Fall Acessories

There is something about fall that has me eager to update my entire wardrobe. Now I live in a warm climate so updating my tartans, plaids and wool clothes doesn't make sense. Instead I've been gravitating towards chic accessories - think scarves, chunky bracelets, and all things classic. I haven't bought accessories in a long time, so this is a fun treat for me and I've been pulling lots of inspiration. Below are a few of my favorite accessories for fall and winter.

Ready to get shopping,

Pretty Pins for Checking In

I've been taking this season to really focus on myself, which includes reading, meditations, and tapping much more into my spiritual beliefs so maybe that's why I'm feeling so on edge. I didn't realize how much I needed this time to work on my mindset and it's been great. There have been growing pains and surprising realizations but all in all I'm finding myself to be a little bit more peaceful and confident in myself. Like I said a few months ago, this is a year for growth and I feel like I'm on the edge of something wonderful! Below are a few pins inspiring me to continue on growing and exploring.

Starting an Etsy wishlist. There are so many fabulous things there and I can't help but want to buy all of them. I'm holding off, but this jacket is seriously especially tempting!

Continuing to be healthy and meal prep. I'm really starting to see some results and it's been inspiring me to keep going! How good do the above chocolate dipped fruits look?

Working on different mantras and mediations. More than ever I am feeling the need to nurture myself and prioritize my mental health. I have been in flight or fight more for so long that something has to give and I'm slowly working it all out. More to come on that, but this has been major for me.

Craving all things vanilla. Florida fall has me craving all of the cozy things, which I didn't expect. Most notably I'm really into Diptyque's vanilla candles - they feels right for the season and isn't pumpkin!

Wanting to get dressed up again! I'm so ready to wear fun party dresses again. Luckily I live in a place where party dresses are standard. As we get closer and closer to the start of season I'll be dusting off my party dresses!

First Autumnal Goal Check In

These mini updates are the best way to keep myself on track for my fall goals! This week I don't have too much to report, but there is some reporting that needs to be done! I'm so happy to say I got my real ID before the 2023 deadline - and it's a Florida one! Being able to check more and more off my 101 in 1001 list feels so good. I also lost two pounds last week (nine pounds since summer!) so I' finally starting to see some progress. Unfortunately I've had a small setback with my mortgage fund, but pressing matters came up that needed to be taken care of. Overall I would say it was a solid start to the fall and I'm eager for more updates next week.

Ready for more success,

Three Books to Order and Pre-Order

My book order and pre-order list is getting longer and longer as the weeks go on, but there are three books I'm eager to buy ASAP. I'm clearly in home inspiration mode and am ready to decorate, cook and host parties. That being said, I think the one I'm most eager to treat myself  to is the Deeda Blair book coming out this month. Below are three books I'm ready to order or add to my Christmas List.

Deeda Blair: Food, Flowers & Fantasy

Three Houses by Rose Tarlow

Go-To Dinners by Ina Garten

Now I need to find a home to put all this knowledge to work,

Pretty Pins for Routines

After a spicy end to last week, I was ready for the weekend. It's amazing what working out and mediation has done for me the past few months. Being able to shift my mindset in time for the weekend was a game changer and I realized just how impactful these small tweaks to my routine has been to my mindset. I'm someone who does best with a routine and I'm finally getting into one down here. Spending time outside, working out, cooking every Sunday and taking time to mediate every day has done wonders for me. Below are a few pins inspiring me as I work on my routine and what works best for me.

Hoping this week is better,

Continuing on my health kick! I'm thrilled that I'm slowly and surely dropping pounds, so I'm going to continue with what I'm doing and know that Rome wasn't built in a day.

Searching for chic tops to wear. I live in dresses at work, but I'm in need of great tops so I don't get sick of all my dresses.

Catching up on all of my chores and errands. This will involve cleaning, doing laundry, and cooking for the week ahead. I implemented a no-spend week this week and am going to try to continue that trend next week.

Cozying up inside this weekend! We are supposed to be getting a cold front this weekend, so you can bet that I'll be in my sweaters, under a blanket reading on the couch.

Playing with flowers and orchids! I love playing with flowers and Florida does not disappoint. Maybe I'll pick up some extra flowers and orchids this weekend to continue exploring!

Thursday Autumn Goal Check In

This post is long overdue, but I'm determined to revamp my approach to my goals for 2022 and see some success by the end of the year. Checking in every week has definitely kept me more accountable than if I didn't, so I'm going to stick with that format until the end of the year! My three main focuses are saving up for a mortgage, losing weight, and checking off a few of my to dos on my 101 in 1001 list. Stay tuned for next week's check in!

October Outfit Inspiration

I never loved fall weather, but I loved fall outfits. While I don't miss NY weather I've found myself yearning to wear tweed blazers, cashmere sweaters, and darker colors. Fall in Florida is very different that what I thought it would be like, but I do know I'm gravitating towards neutrals and fabrics that I can breathe in. Below are a few outfits to inspire any closet, regardless of the local weather!

Pretty Pins for Setting Intentions

A few weeks ago I started ending my weekend at the beach with my friend Rosie, where we started setting weekly intentions together. It's a really lovely way to end the weekend and start the week off on a positive foot. Since starting this tradition, most of my intentions for the week have revolved around different relationships and branching out. This week I want to continue to be intentional about relationships and being more open with people. I may be clumsy at first, but opening up will hopefully become more natural over time. I also want to put my energy into the right places. We have a busy week ahead at work and taking time to rest and relax when I can will be key. Below are a few pins inspiring my as I set my intentions this week.

Ready for the busy week ahead,
