Pretty Pins for Heading Home

I don't know what it is about heading back to NY for Easter, but the thought is giving me so much anxiety. I'm not sure if it's homesickness, PTSD from the pandemic restrictions, or even the massive amount of boxes I have to deal with, but I'm very aware that I am not ready to go to NY just yet. I know once I'm with my family and get a good dose of Bergdorfs in I'll be happy, but maybe it's getting there that will be the problem. Regardless, I'm heading home at the end of this week and it's definitely on my mind. Below are a few pins inspiring me to get a grip and get ready for some feel good family time.

What's on your mind this week?

Starting my workout routine! It's been years since I've hit the gym and I'm thrilled to have gotten back into the swing of things (a little bit).

Thinking of starting Willow Crossley's class on Create Academy. I loved the Rita Konig class I took during quarantine and I have a feeling this will be another class I will enjoy. Entertaining is something I really love and this would give me so many ideas - I just know it!

Preparing for my first trip back to NY in months. For some reason this trip is giving me major anxiety. I'm not sure if it's because I miss NY and this trip will amplify it or if it's simply a matter of dreading travel again. I'll report back here!

Sleeping in this weekend! I don't know what it was, maybe it was starting up at the gym again, but I was just exhausted this week. I'm eager to sleep in and dedicate the weekend to rest and relaxation.

Continuing on updating my wardrobe. Moving from NY to PB full time is great, but also a bit of a shock to my all black wardrobe. I'm leaning into color more, as well as my all white outfits. Stay tuned for more to come!

Pretty Pins for Centering Myself

I've talked about how I've been feeling a few weeks ago, but recently my overwhelmed feelings have gone into overdrive. With all that is going on in the world right now it's hard to not feel a bit anxious. It seems like it's all bad news all the time and I've really been struggling to stay upbeat. That being said, I'm working on centering myself and am actively working on keeping a balanced mindset. I'm doing little things for myself - like joining a gym, upgrading my makeup, and buying myself a few new cheerful dresses for the summer - which have been really helping my mindset. Below are a few pins inspiring me to continue centering myself and reminding me to stay upbeat.

Cheers to a wonderful week ahead!

Celebrating that fact I participated in the Race for Hope. I have never run a race before and I'm thrilled to say I completed it. We won't talk about how long it took me to finish, but I crossed the finish line and didn't stop once!

Getting my life back on track. I lost the plot for two years, but I'm starting a new outline for my life and I'm excited about it. The last two years were all about setting the groundwork and taking the time to really appreciate the little things. Now I'm excited to move on and get on track to get to where I want to be and feel a little bit like myself again.

Treating myself to a new needlepoint canvas. I may have overcommitted with my first canvas size, so I scaled it back a bit it back a bit and finished my first project last weekend. It was a true celebration because I checked off another one of my 101 in 1001 goals for the year. I saw a few adorable ones at Lycette that have me ready to start another small project before getting back on track with my larger one. I'm thinking a coaster set!

Trying to make new friends. It's so great to have so many ways to keep in touch with old friends, but is there an easy way to make new ones? Moving to a place where you know absolutely no one is a challenge that I'm up to, just struggling on where to start! Any tips on meeting people would be very welcome.

Catching up on all of my chores! I have loads on loads on loads of laundry to do, a closet to be organized (and edited), and meals to be prepped. I clearly have a thrilling weekend ahead of me of just housekeeping things.

Lots of things to keep me busy this weekend!
