The countdown is on for me to get back into fighting shape. I'm about halfway to where I want to be and I know I can get fully back to my pre-pandemic self before Ian's wedding! The next month will be all about me focusing on my health and righting all of the wrongs I've done to my body. As a bonus, I'm kicking this off right before summer begins! Below is a rough breakdown of my plan and what I'll be doing.
I like a mix of streaming, cardio, and live classes. My go to streaming apps/websites are Yoga with Adrienne and the Sculpt Society! I admit I'm not a big cardio girl, but I can certainly manage a 45 minute walk around my neighborhood and this month I'm going to make it to the gym. While there I'll probably take advantage of their live classes, specifically the hot yoga one, and I'm going to continue my reformer pilates. Reformer pilates has changed my relationship with fitness for the better and I'm not giving it up if I don't have to.
I admit my diet has been in shambles since my parents came down to Florida, but now that they are gone I can focus on cooking healthy meals and really focus on meal prepping. I'll be cooking lots of fresh lunches and dinners, and will be intentional about what is in the fridge. There will be lots of fresh fruit, veggies, and lean proteins - all with a focus on an anti-inflammatory diet. I may even try to incorporate a food cleanse or partial cleanse to help jump start it!
Wellness:
I would be remiss in mentioning that a major part of my month of health will involve meditation and self reflection. I'm going to take the time to focus on myself and incorporate meditations, baths, and journaling into my day to day life.
