Making major strides in my renovation! It's amazing how quickly things move - I admittedly was not prepared for how fast the pace would be but I'm trying my best to catch up (and be ready for the next round).

Wishing I had more bows in rotation! While in Paris I picked a few up, but too much is not enough (in my opinion at least!)

Trying out a new recipe this weekend! I'm in the mood to cook and think a new recipe will be the perfect thing to try this stormy weekend.

Dreaming of a garden, but mentally planning out my patio planter garden. I'm so excited to dive into making my patio feel like an oasis. Stay tuned!

Thinking it's time to update my wardrobe - I want a few more neutrals thrown into the mix and looove white and cream for winter in PB.

Trip to France

Earlier this summer I was excited to be able to check off visiting France for Oliver's wedding from my 101 in 1001 list. Like most of the world I adore France. For many reasons Paris holds a special place in my heart and I was thrilled to go back there before going to Oliver's wedding in Provence. I had a list a mile long of things I wanted to do and I was so happy to check off almost all of them off my list!

When I plan trips I prefer to focus on visiting museums, galleries, gardens and boutique shops. Paris has an overwhelming amount of each. I fully enjoyed going to both the Musee Marmottan Monet and the Musee Rodin.  I also couldn't resist stopping by two of my favorite french boutiques, Vanessa Bruno and Cire Trudon. No trip to Paris would be complete without a stop at Le Bon Marche, the second best department store in the world (Bergdorfs is number one, obviously).

A special treat was booking a photographer to take pictures of my family in Luxembourg Gardens. I realized we haven't had any pictures taken of us in years and why not change it up and take some fmaily photos abroad. We always take pictures and never print them out, so I wanted to make sure we had an extra special treat. Shoutout to Courtney for being such a great photographer and putting usu all at ease!

Post Paris we went to Oliver and Lily's wedding, in Provence which was beautiful and just so much fun! There was a fabulous costume party, a gorgeous mass, a dreamy reception and the most fun dance party. I was really excited to explore Provence for a bit and while I didn't feel like we got enough time there, we got a good enough taste to know I want to go back.

Pretty Pins for Feeling More Festive

It's been a chaotic couple of weeks but I know I'm almost through it! Once I get through next week I'll be able to take a breather and focus on relaxing and getting my condo renovation under control so it's as close to being on auto-pilot as possible. I keep reminding myself that once I'm done, I won't have to think about it again but it's hard to remember when you're in the weeds. In the meantime I'm thinking about all of the fun and festive things I'm going to do once I get to NY and things to do in Florida to make it feel a little bit more like Christmas. Below are a few pins inspiring me this week!

Coming home from Tampa! I had a work event in Tampa and while fun, I'm ready to get home and decompress from the week.

Ordering lots of materials for the condo! I'm so excited to get to the point where I can see everything come to life. I'm so close yet so far! Is it time to install everything yet?

Taking more time to relax. I've been really feeling the stress recently and need to take time to decompress and relax. Perhaps some more beach time will do the trick!

Enjoying more Create Academy classes. With the new condo renovation happening quickly I'm trying to organize and take a few last minute classes to soak in all of the interior design tips.

Cleaning out my closet!  I'm overloaded with clothes and I'm in dire need of a closet clean out. I'll keep you posted on how it goes!

Pretty Pins for Chaotic Holiday Feelings

This holiday season is more intense than others and I'm definitely feeling it. Between all the travel I've already done and work on the condo that's just getting started, I'm just tired.  Anyone else feel this way? Everything just feels overwhelming and heavy. Hopefully once I get through the holidays I can focus on righting the chaotic ship that is my life. I also plan on treating myself to the 35th birthday spa day I wanted to do earlier this year, but just couldn't swing. I have a year to treat myself to a special birthday treat, right? Below are a few pins inspiring me as I plan for a restful January!

Ready for a wild week,

First 101 in 1001 Six Month Check In

Whoops! It's bee awhile since I last posted - life has been a whirlwind and I'm finally coming up from air. Between two trips abroad, work, too many trips up north and a renovation it's safe to say life completely got away from me. It's not really slowing down, but I'm making a point to make time for myself. I've fallen off my normal routine and I feel it both mentally and physically. That being said, I missed my first 101 in 1001 six month progress report by five days. I'm a firm believer in better late than never, so I'm hitting publish now! You may just forgive me once you see what I've been up to this summer and fall.

Completed

This summer I celebrated Ian's wedding to Amy in England last June and cheered to Oliver and Lily at their wedding in France last October. Their weddings may have eaten up all of my vacation days, but I'm so happy I made it abroad not once, but twice!

At the same time as Oliver's wedding, I was thrilled to finish my first full Sculpt Society challenge - a little personal win! Yes, I can work out while on vacation.

I also took the time to take new headshots for LinkedIn and other uses. I honestly love my old ones so much that I'm hesitant to change. I'll keep you posted on what I end up officially doing.

Between Oliver and Ian's weddings I took a moment to take the Brightline to Miami with a good friend of mine! I had so much fun and remembered why I'm team train travel every day of the week.

I think my biggest accomplishment was buying a condo. This was major for so many reasons, but long story short I'm excited, grateful, and proud! In order to prepare for renovations and decorating I finished the Amanda Lindroth Create Academy class. I'm officially inspired!

Given all of the travel I led with this year, I decided it was time to replace my old Nook with a new one. I'll be setting it all up this weekend and I'm excited to dive into a few new books!

In Progress:

Trying new restaurants! I made it to two so far, so I have eight more to try (and maybe a few more..)

I'm working my way through visiting five museums. I've made it to one of them already and hope to visit one or two when I'm next in NY.

Cooking is also at the top of my project list. I'm cooking a lot more and I'm happy to say I've already cooked three new recipes! All are from Skinnytaste and all were delicious. Trying out new recipes was so fun for me and my dad to do together - who would have thought?

I'm also actively working on growing my instagram audience in a way that is true to me. I'm shamelessly asking for help reaching my goal of 1000 followers!

Stitching new needlepoint projects is also something I'm working on. I finished one, so I have four more to go! I luckily have a few projects on hand and this is a fun project to do when I'm on the go, traveling, and want a break from reading!

Up Next:

Anything having to do with the condo is next - I have a lot to get done in a short period of time and can't wait to check off almost this entire section! I'm trying out paints this weekend, finalizing my tiles, floors, and plumbing orders. Then I get to design the closets and kitchen before getting to the decorating stage. While I wish I was further along with my 101 in 1001 list, I'm still chugging along and enjoying any progress I've been making. As my Dad told me the other week - progress over perfection! I'm taking that to heart and can't wait for the next six months.

Thank you for always following along!

Pretty Pins for Staying Focused

Normally I'm indecisive by nature, but I've been really focused on picking everything out for my condo renovation and haven't really hesitated. I luckily know what I like and with two create academy classes under my belt I think I have a good grasp on what needs to be done. I'm excited to start ordering things and getting to the fun stuff - like furniture! It will feel extra real once I get into the place (this week!!) Below are a few pins inspiring me to focus on my goals and move this renovation along.

Ready for another week,

Counting down the days until I get into my condo! I won't be moving in for a few months, but I can start taking measurements and making more confident design choices and purchases as early as next weekend.

Planning my fall wardrobe! I'm getting into my fall in PB outfit groove and it involves lots of neutrals and I'm bringing black back into play. I am who I am and I really love creams and whites, but I also just love wearing black. What can I say?

Making a list of all the supplies I'll need for the new place! I'd like to get as much as possible in order now so I can enjoy and relax when it comes time to move.

Thinking about what magazines I want to save for my 2024 vision board! I know it's early to start thinking about it, but I just can't help myself. I'm a planner and last year I had to bulk buy magazines so I could make my vision board. This year I'm not going to spend a fortune and just use what I have.

Dreaming of the days I used to make beautiful flower arrangements. I know one day I'll get back to making arrangements but I have yet to find a flower source here! I really miss living so close to teh NY flower district - there was truly nothing like it.

Pretty Pins for A New Season

I love the subtle season shift in Florida. It gets darker earlier and it's just one of two degrees cooler, but it's enough to make me want to dress just a little bit cozier. I shift my clothes over to neutral and more jewel-tone colors and wear a sweater over my shoulders at night. It's not autumn in New York, but it's the kind of autumn that I like. Below are a few pins inspiring me to enjoy the new season and get ready for another busy winter.

Unpacking! Returning home after a trip is always such a bummer and unpacking is always such a whomp whomp for me. It means it's time to get back to work, do my post-trip laundry, and catch up on all of the errands I pushed off for after the trip. On the plus side I do also get to look at my new trinkets and treasures, relive fun moments, and dream about my next trip!

Sleeping in! I hit the ground running at work and I'm excited to sleep in and relax all weekend. I'm on a very strict post-vacation budget so it's the perfect time to read by the pool and go for a walk on the beach.

Meal prepping. I'm eager to really get down to business and reach my goal weight and a big pieces of that is being thoughtful about what I'm eating. I have a few new cookbooks to dig into and I'm excited to try some new recipes!

Dreaming of all the beautiful interior inspiration I saw on the last trip. I love how beautiful the french architecture and design is and I have a large photo album on my phone to prove it. I came back with a few ideas for my own place!

Searching for a cozy lounge dress. Since moving to Florida I almost exclusively wear dresses and I'm on the hunt for the perfect at-home cozy night in dress.
