Pretty Pins for Routines

I've been in Palm Beach for a month now and while I've been branching out more and more I've also developed a routine. I have a feeling that once my parents get down I'll be starting from scratch again, but shaking up might be just the thing to get me out of my comfort zone. I'm a creature of habit, which is a blessing and a curse. Once I find something I love, I am all in and have a hard time branching out. Luckily, my parents love branching out and I'm looking forward to seeing what they discovered and sharing with them the few things I found since I've been here. Below are a few pins that are getting me all prepared and ready for a routine shake-up in the best possible way.

Let's start this week on a good note.

Currently...

Checking
my 6-Month Emergency Fund off my 101 in 1001 list. If you read my check-in post a few days ago you already knew this, but I'm so excited I'm sharing it again! This was what felt like my most ambitious goal and to have checked it off, and early at that, is major.

Exploring the Palm Beach area. I've always visited Florida as a tourist, with the hope that one day I would live here. Now that I'm on my way to local status I'm exploring and venturing out a lot more! There have been some fun discoveries and I'm looking forward to branching out even more.

Enjoying MOVE, a 30 Day Yoga Journey with Adrienne. I sign up for Yoga with Adrienne's 30 Day Yoga Journey every January and it's the best start to the New Year. This year it feels especially timely as I ease back into a daily workout routine and overall healthier lifestyle.

Shopping the Ann Mashburn sale. There are about a million things I would love to own, but like I said in my last post, I'm trying to keep myself focused and intention about what I spend my money on and bring into my closet. One can never go wrong with anything Ann Mashburn, so you can bet I'm shopping this sale.

Starting a new skincare routine. Within a week of moving down to Florida my skin freaked out. I'm talking painful cystic acne, whiteheads, and oily skin ect. My colleague was kind enough to lend me a book on skincare and once I made a few tweaks I've noticed my skin is back to normal.

Palm Beach Mood Board

I've been talking about updating my look for quite some time now and moving felt like the perfect time to edit and pare down my closet. In reality, I was so overwhelmed with the packing process and moving to a different state that I made some easy edits (about 5 bags worth) but opted to pack it all up and figure it out later. Not my best plan, but on the bright side now I don't have any second thoughts about what I donated and now I can thoughtfully edit and sort at my leisure! That being said, I want to update my wardrobe so it's a bit more fun and relaxed and move a bit away from my harsh NY look. I'm not tossing my all black ensembles, but I'm aiming to brighten things up! Part of that means my new foundations will be creams and tans, with a touch of dark brown and/or black and some whimsical details. Below are a few images that are inspiring me as I focus on my Palm Beach wardrobe.

Cheers to 2022 and finally updating my closet!

My Third 101 in 1001 Progress Report

I had high hopes for my third 101 in 1001 check-in but once again life got away from me and I fell way behind on my goals. If anything, this list has taught me to be gentle on myself and to focus on quality not quantity. With that in mind, I'm thrilled with the goals I checked off and am excited about the ones I'm working on right now! As I celebrate the few wins I had, I'm committing to a much more robust fourth check-in. Below is a roundup of what I checked off, what I'm working on, and where I hope this list is heading!

Completed:

10 New to Me Restaurants: When I first made this goal I thought it would be done pretty quick, but the reality is that I love my creature comforts and favorite restaurants.

Finish a Month of TSS: I felt amazing after doing a month straight of workouts and having a challenge/plan to follow is what made the difference for me. Now I just need to get back into a regular workout routine.

Visit Kofskis: Anywhere antiques are feels like home to me and Kofskis did not disappoint! I got to visit back in August and little did I know that a few months later I would be down in Palm Beach full time and that I would make many more trips!

6 Month Emergency Fund: The beginning of the pandemic was a major wake-up call for me. I didn't have an emergency fund and I was not prepared for any of the emergencies that popped up. By the grace of God I made it through those rough days by focusing on my four walls and eventually built on that foundation once I got back on my feet. To say I'm proud that I finished building my 6 month emergency fund before my goal of April 2023 is an understatement and I'm thrilled to be checking one of the most important goals of my 101 in 1001 list early!

In Progress:

Write 50 Notes:  This is a fun goal that I'm really enjoying working my way through. Now that I moved, I have even more of an excuse to write all of my friends!

Finish A Needlepoint Project: I finally learned how to needlepoint and already have three projects lined up! I'm starting with the biggest, yet most simple one and working my way towards the Bain de Soleil one my mom got me a few years ago.

Up Next:

Making the best of my 101 in 1001 list, despite all of my life changes! When I wrote my list back in August 2020 I never would have thought I would be where I am - both mentally and physically. Given I moved to a different state with three week's notice and that my 101 in 1001 list was very NY centric, I'll have to accept that I am going to miss out on a bunch of my goals and just move forward or pivot where I can. On that note, I am eager to check off my Palm Beach goals and a few of my NY ones the next time I'm in town!

Let's get this done,

Pretty Pins for 2022

Despite the less than perfect end to 2021, I'm excited and grateful for the year ahead. Last year was all about staying positive and having the courage to stand up for myself and my beliefs and just surviving, although I did end the year on a personal high note. My hope for 2022 is to continue to make major strides in all aspects of my life and for a more balanced year. Last week was spent reflecting on who I want to be and how I can make changes to my schedule and life to become that person. A big part of this involves going way out of my comfort zone and pushing myself to do things I normally would run from. I'm so lucky to have the supportive friends and family in my life, who I know I will be calling on more often than I can imagine (and they may way!). Cheers to another year and for all we have ahead of us! Thank you, as always, for joining in on the fun.

Let's do this!
