Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! What are you going to be this year or did you already dress up this past weekend? I don't have a post for today, but will share an article I worked on last week about last minute Halloween costumes.

Happy trick or treating!

Artifact Uprising

Awhile back I was researching options for instagram friendly photobooks and stumbled on the company Artifact Uprising. I fell in love with their website, aesthetic, and the story behind the company. I finally ordered a set of 25 square prints of picture from my instagram and can't get enough of them. As someone who loves disposable cameras for the sole reason I actually have physical copies of the pictures I take, I loved this option. Now that I've seen the physical product, I can't wait to order a few larger prints and maybe even a photobook! If you're planning ahead for holiday gift giving, this might be a great option!

Happy photosharing!

Pretty Pins for a Friday

Happy Friday! I apologize for the radio silence, it's been a busier than normal week at work and in my personal life. No new or exciting updates, but figured I'd share some pibs to get you through this rainy Friday and hopefully boost your moral!

Any suggestions to get inspired?

TGIF + The Exclusive Wedding Collection on Moda Operandi

Happy Friday, everyone! Bridal Fashion Week is over and while I may not have any wedding bells ringing in my future just yet, that doesn't mean I can't admire all of the beautiful gowns. It feels like every girl has always dreamed about her big day, but I've really only focused on the dress (probably because I already know my mom will take over any and all planning and delegate accordingly). Needless to say, I can't get over the eye candy that Moda Operandi, with the 10 designers they collaborated with, brings to the bridal table. Below are a few of my favorites but you can check out the whole collection here.

I think the designers did an amazing job of creating dresses with the perfect balance of fashion forward styles and romantic and dreamy details!

Fall Wishlist

Not that I've been buying anything (ok, fine - I had a weak moment at the Frances Valentine sample sale and Matouk outlet) but I always have a wishlist going. I'm trying to slowly update my wardrobe because my "just graduated from college" clothes aren't cutting it anymore and it's time to throw out my favorite pilled sweaters and my oldest jeans with one too many patches. My goal is to have a few quick fixes for this fall and specific events, but ultimately make most of my purchases ahead of time on Moda Operandi. While I won't be buying as much (and certainly not on sale...) I think I'll be buying smarter and higher quality clothes overall. Here are a few things I'm loving for the fall and upcoming holiday season!

J.Crew Diamond Tweed Coat

Lake Long Sleeve PJs

ML Monique Lhuillier Sleeveless Dotted Lace Midi Dress

In case you didn't notice, I'm trying to break free from my all black all day favorites and bring some color back into my winter wardrobe (ignore the gorgeous black shoes...). It will be tough for this NYer but I think I can do it! What's on your wishlist?

On My Radar

Does anyone else feel an energy shift once fall hits? I feel like I have a harder time waking up, I always want to revamp my wardrobe, and I just want to hibernate. Despite my negative feelings about summer ending I do have a few things to perk me up and get me through the winter blues.

One of the things at the top of my list is the new netflix show The Crown - it seems like the perfect show to watch while curled up on the couch. I think I'm more excited to watch this than the new Gilmore Girls' show coming out the same month!

My friend Cait sent The Defender to me awhile back and we both agreed - why didn't someone think of this sooner? The Defender is a self defense tool combined with a 24/7 monitoring service and mobile medical alert device. Definitely a must have for the safety obsessed, like me.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention at least one book that's on my radar, so I'll highlight Ma Vie a Paris, the Paris guide written by Benoit Astier de Villatte and Ivan Pericoli. I can't wait to dive into their book, especially because I really hope I can get back to Paris sooner rather than later. I can't wait to pick up my copy on October 25th. Considering the book is by two of my favorite ceramicists it's not shocking you can only pick it up at the chicest of stores, like John Derian, Bergdorfs, and Albertine. PS: While you're at John Derian you should absolutely pick up his new picture book too!

Happy weekend!

Pretty Pins for Fall

It's been a little while since I checked in - I've been busy road tripping with Cait, starting to redecorate my apartment, working on launching towerhouse (subscribe here) and trying to get back on the healthy train (have you been following on instagram?). Every year, when fall comes around, I feel a bit melancholy and struggle with the change of seasons. It's always hard when your favorite season comes to an end and this year I'm determined to battle it and stay positive about fall being right around the corner. I'm sharing a few pins that capture my current mood and are inspiring me to be a bit more positive.

Now, where can I get that clutch?
