Inspiration: Kitchen Table

We've been using my old outdoor/balcony table and chair bistro set for the past couple of months, so I'm really hoping to get table and chairs sometime soon. Needless to say, I've been searching nonstop for ideas on what I want. Ideas and inspiration include...

Ballet Beautiful

I'm on a health kick and Ballet Beautiful is just the thing to get me started. I've always (and I mean always) been obsessed with ballet, so this just might be what finally gets me into working out! Hopefully this will whip my arms into shape, strengthen my abs, and tone up my legs. Considering she's worked with Natalie Portman and the Victoria Secret models I think I'm in good hands!

Party Planning: EcoFriendly Party

I'm not too savvy with the whole Green movement, which is why I'm constantly reading Cameron's blog for tips and guidance. I'm guessing I'm not the only one, so I think it would be really cool to get a bunch of friends together so we can explore these murky waters together! That being said, I would need to attempt to keep the party in theme with the whole Green thing.

Obviously, invitations would be sent virtually, as we're now trying to save paper...or maybe I can use plantable paper, like these gift tags!? This is something I would look into before, because I think there is something special about a paper invite, but again trying to stay green so I'd have to research a bit more.

I'm totally into these EcoFriendly confetti push-pops I found on Etsy.

Air plants would be a great place card alternative and party favor

Obviously we'll need to eat off of plates and use utensils, so this party pack from Susty Party is kind of perfect because I prefer a quick and easy cleanup instead of loading the dishwasher a million times (not a green thought, but Rome wasn't built in a day everyone!).

I also think it would be a great idea to bring someone in (or ask a guest) to talk about different ways to be go green that are manageable, the benefits of going green, and to share some further reading.

Breakfast Epiphanies: Beauty Edition

We all know I'm obsessed with the John Barrett Braid Bar, so I thought I'd pass along an article about braids I spotted the other day for you all to read.

Anything written about juice cleansing is sure to catch my eye and this article totally did.

Lord knows I love the 60s and 70s, so I'm totally going to check out these tips on how to acheive the look!

Artist Love: DonaldDrawBertson

If you aren't following him on instagram you totally should. What great inspiration to see throughout the day! I love how much fun all of his work is, and I feel like some of of his other work could be amazing as prints.

Outfit Inspiration: All Year Round

I used to work in fashion, and recently I've been thinking it's time to get back into it. For awhile I felt I hit a wardrobe road bock, and something about this year has me more inspired than ever to update and play around with my style.

Maybe I was inspired by all the tartan and tweed I saw in the UK...

Or these dreamy (yet wearable) ballerina inspired outfits?

But then again, I've always been a Barbie girl, so this outfit is just screaming my name!

However, helloooooo leopard skirt, you need to be in my closet, like now.

I'm all over the map (which is never attractive) and it's fall so I guess I'll stick to my uniform of black pants + fun flats or sneakers and refine my style at a later date.

Etsy Love: Clothing Shops

I'm an Etsy Addict, just ask my roommate CCS. I'm a huge fan of supporting the smaller stores and shops, which Etsy makes super easy to do.

Alexandra King has some pretty amazing clothes. I recently ordered from her recently and am in love with my floral skirt! Now I have my eye on this dress for Christmas...

I love love love girly underwear and ohhhlulu has some really fun stuff! I haven't tried any of her stuff yet, but it looks pretty, which is always a plus in my book. I love the colors of this underwear set, but then again I love all the colors in her collection.

How much fun are these Mexican embroidered dresses by Elizabeth Palmer? I think they would be perfect for Summer or Palm Beach. Can you tell I miss Summer already?

Party Planning: 5 Last Minute Party Prep Essentials

Planning the perfect party takes a lot of time and thought, which makes a last minute party a bit daunting. Some of my best gatherings have been a spur of the moment decision (as in day of) which is a challenge in itself. To help me stay on track, I usually have a basket of tricks (literally) on hand so I can really focus on the cooking aspect and not worry about the party theme. Some essentials include:

1. Really awesome napkins are a must. I usually pick them up as I see them, so I have a fun, colorful collection to choose from.

2. Paper straws add a thought out, fun flair to all drinks. They also are super trendy right now, which is an added bonus.

3. A well stocked bar - because who wants to rush to the store right before everyone arrives?

4. Paper + Plastic plates and Silverware are great because you can just throw it all out and not worry too much about the clean up and you can make them look less cheesy with cool details. This is where having great napkins can really help your tablescape.

5. Flowers add to the ambiance of party, and what's great about them is you can pick them up almost anywhere, whether it be at the grocery store while you're picking up essentials or (my personal fave) the bodega on the way home.

Wanderlust Worthy Pictures

Last year I got bit by the travel bug and have been obsessed ever since. While I haven't got to too many wild locations at the moment, my ever growing list has lots of fun and beautiful places that totally fit the bill. These are just some pictures that have inspired me to travel just a bit more:

November Lust List

While I've been focussing on decorating my apartment, it's ok to pick up a few details and treats for myself. This is what's on my list this month:

1. UMM hello tortoise headphones!

2. Love having bows on my toes and these are fantastic.

3. It's pretty much a guarantee that a book is going to be on every month's list and this one looks perfect for inspiration for my apartment spruce up!

Party Planning: Marie Antoinette's Birthday

I love Marie Antoinette - she was over the top and a lover of cake. Her birthday is coming up this weekend and I was thinking about how much fun would it be to have a Marie-Antoinette themed party on her birthday.

Obviously there would be feathers everywhere.

Marie Antoinette cupcakes are clearly a must as well.

I would hope everyone would wear dressy dresses and party shoes!

The Marie Antoinette movie must be playing in the background for ambiance.

Fans would be the takeaway gift for all guests!

Marie Antoinette cakepops would just be fun to have floating around.
